Product description

The Armasight Sirius is a high-performance monocular night vision device.

This 'Multi Purpose System' can be attached to the front of a camera lens for taking night shots, and be extended for observing at long distance via conversion lenses of 3X, 5X, and 8X magnifications.

We aimed to make Sirius comfortable and convenient for all users. The unit has extended eye relief so it can be used with spectacles. Sirius can be operated using CR123 or AA batteries. Other benefits of Sirius are its built-in IR illuminator and an automatic brightness control, a protective bright light cut-off and a status display for the battery life and lifetime of the image intensifier tube.

The device is equipped with a Standard Definition (40-45 lp/mm) 2nd generation image intensifier tube. This provides high brightness and excellent contrast. The unit has a fibreglass housing, making it incredibly lightweight. It is shock resistant and waterproof. The Armasight Sirius is perfect for a range of different uses at night.

The scope of delivery often does not includes batteries or, if included, only low-quality batteries. These cannot be replaced under warranty. To avoid being disappointed the very first time you use the equipment, we recommend you order suitable batteries at the same time you order the equipment. Especially for equipment that is used outdoors, we recommend the use of high quality brand-name batteries. Lithium batteries are to be preferred, as these lose hardly any of their charge during prolonged storage and also do not lose performance in cold temperatures.

You can find these in the list of recommended accessories.

We must point out that discharged batteries do not go into the household rubbish!

You are legally obligated to follow the correct procedure for disposing of these batteries. Please feel free to return them to us for disposal, free of charge.

Armasight Sirius Review

Review by L. K. on 26.03.2022 13:34:43

( 2 / 5 )

I purchased the Armasight Sirius QSI back about 1 year ago, and i have been using it enough to be able to construct a review on the device from my own experience. In my case, the night vision tube inside performs well enough to be able to do any night activities in complete darkness. Though, it is very hard to look through the device, the eye relief is terrible, and you have to get really close to be able to see well through it. Not ideal at all. It also severely lacks in the form of the size and the optics/lenses on the device. When you look through it, the edges are very blurry, and in my opinion the picture shown on the site here does not match what you see in real life.

Something which is also worth mentioning is that my device came in a Armasight Box, but in an AGM protective sleeve, and then my device was branded EOC. Not sure what the explanation is there, but that's 3 brands.

The device is also quite big compared to other military grade night vision devices such as the PVS-14. While it is possible to mount it onto a helmet, it's still very big and bulky and i just suggest not using it for that purpose.

All over, I discourage people from buying this device mainly due to the terrible optics and the complications of mounting it on a helmet. To note it of course does also not come with a Spec sheet for the tube, and there is no way of knowing what the exact specs on the device is.

Spend your money elsewhere, and invest in something with better quality. This is definitely not worth it.
