A handy eyepiece!

If you are looking to upgrade the eyepiece that came with your scope (which in my case werent that great on the 8 inch Skyliner dobsonian) and want to skip the ca. 50 degree FOV into something even bigger (which is great on dobsonians, as you dont have to move it so often) then this piece is awesome. I am however only going to give it 4 stars because there is some distortion near the edge (perhaps 10-15% of the FOV) and another thing: it is a MONSTER and weighs a LOT! So prepare your dobsonian, because it will require tightening as a result of putting this badboy on! Having said that, it looks pretty cool :-) and offers some very crisp and clear views. It is well made, and has a great eye relief. Plus it will never roll around when you put it on the table, because it has a special shape
I havent tried many eyepieces, but I know this is a good upgrade from eyepieces you got with the scope. I was going to get the Meade 5000 series eyepiece, but it was out of stock so I took a chance and got this and was pleasantly surprised :)
