High-definition cameras with CMOS sensors and active cooling for capturing galactic nebulae and galaxies
A deep sky astro-camera provides you with the complete package required for comfortably creating astronomical photos and videos. The easy-to-use camera enables galaxies and star clusters to be captured, as well as the Moon and planets, at high definition and with low sensor noise. Thanks to the fast USB interface (USB 3.0), all images can be transferred within a few seconds.
You can attach the camera to the drawtube using the internal T2 thread (M42, 0.75mm) or connect it to your teslecope using the supplied 2” plug-in adapter. The plug-in adapter is equipped with a filter thread.
Important tip: Install the supplied camera drivers and the EXPLORE Capture software before connecting the camera to your computer!
The supplied EXPLORE capture software not only offers the basic functions required for capturing pictures and images, it also features many helpful special functions for post-processing and setting up the camera: live image display, exposure settings, white balance, dark image capture, stacking, timelapse recordings and much more can be individually configured.
The very sophisticated software makes this camera ideal for getting into astrophotography! Using the settings provided, you can get some very acceptable results without much prior knowledge. With more experience, you can adjust the camera settings to meet your requirements. An ASCOM driver is also included.
The camera has a highly-sensitive and very low-noise CMOS sensor which can also be cooled to around 40°C below ambient temperature using two-stage thermoelectric cooling. When compared to normal DSLR cameras, this guarantees very low noise and fewer hot pixels in your images. This makes the images not only sharper and brighter, but they also contain more usable information. By setting the camera temperature using controlled settings, dark frames can always be created under reproducible conditions.
The camera has a built-in USB hub with two USB2.0 ports on its rear. Connect your autoguider camera or the motorised focuser there. This does not require a separate wired connection to the computer.
A sturdy case is included.
