Omegon Star diagonal - connects directly to your SCT

The Omegon Star diagonal is the perfect accessory for all Schmidt-Cassegrain, Maksutov, ACF or similar telescopes. The usual SC thread lets you quickly and easily connect the star diagonal to the SCT. It then sits solidly and securely in your telescope. The mirror diverts the image 90° upwards to allow comfortable observing.

Dielectric mirror - bright, high contrast images

The Omegon Star diagonal provides exceptionally bright images with high contrast. This is achieved through multiple vapour-deposited dielectric layers, which provide a very durable and long-lasting reflecting surface. The diagonal achieves a reflectance of 99%. Observers prefer as much light as possible, and this coating provides a significantly brighter image than the usual silver or aluminium mirror.

The advantages of the SC-thread

The SC thread included in the diagonal saves having to use an adapter, allowing the unit to sit right at the end of the OTA. This allows you to point the OTA of Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes with an altazimuth fork at the zenith. This can be a problem with other star diagonals, particularly when used with 8" SC telescopes.

2" to 1.25" reduction

The star diagonal is suitable for all 2" and 1.25" eyepieces, and includes an additional adapter for using 1.25" eyepieces makes changes quick and easy - allowing eyepieces to be quickly and easily changed. Both 2" and 1.25 "eyepieces are held securely in place with a compression ring, ensuring that your eyepieces are not only optimally held in place, but also treated gently.

Dielectric mirror - bright, high-contrast images

The Omegon mirror star diagonal provides you with a particularly bright, high-contrast image. This is achieved using multiple vapour-deposited dielectric layers, which are very tough and therefore durable. The star diagonal's mirror achieves a reflectance of 99%. Observers prefer as much light as possible, and this mirror offers a much brighter image than a normal mirror with an aluminium coating.

2" to 1.25" reducer

The mirror star diagonal is suitable for all 2" and 1.25" eyepieces - an additional 1.25" adapter makes changing the eyepiece quick and easy, whether it is a 2" or a 1.25". Your eyepieces are simply and safely retained in place by a compression ring, which not only holds the eyepieces optimally in place but also treats them gently.
