The eyepieces
The Skywatcher eyepiece provides what the beginner needs to start in his new hobby. For most telescopes can be found in the basic equipment is very simple eyepieces of lesser quality - just in this case, the eyepiece is the right place. The eyepieces offer a higher quality picture and a better insight behavior. The included focal lengths 20mm, 15mm, 5mm and 2mm provide cover from the small to the high magnification.
The magnification can be calculated as follows: Telescope focal length / eyepiece focal length. All eyepieces offer "long-eye 'properties, therefore, can be observed even in the relaxed 2mm eyepiece. The rubber eyecups are rotated out and offer good protection against stray light. In each eyepiece, a 1.25 "filters are screwed.
The filter
The eyepiece has four 1.25 "Filters: moon filter 1x green, 1x blue filter 80A, 1x orange filter 21 and neutral density filters 1x 96-0.9.
The orange filter blocks blue and green wavelengths and thus enhances details in the cloud bands of Jupiter and Saturn. At Mars, it sharpens the boundaries between orange and green areas.
The blue filter can be used for the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. It increases the contrast of weak areas, without affecting the brightness of the planet considerably. It is therefore often combined with other filters.
The lamp
As a special feature of an LED lamp is provided that is switchable between red and white and dimmable lighting. Each two red or white LEDs are used for lighting. The dark-adapted eye should not be disturbed by white light. Only dim red light makes a useful observation and simultaneous detection of the star card.
The accessory comes in a sturdy aluminum case (265x170x90mm). The case can be completed over a middle buckle.
