It is a well-built and very nice magnifying lens. I gives a clear picture almost up to the edges of the view field, and focuses the sunlight into a very small spot when the light projected onto a piece of paper (a good way to check lens quality). The magnification and view field is perfect for checking fine details of a jewelry piece or a coin. I also bought PB.5016 6x glass that has a larger field of view, which fits a standard 1oz coin. The lense comes with a useful storage case maer of leather.
