Excelent upgrade for the Eq6

I bought this upgrade hoping to bring new life to a second hand Neq-6 mount - and it did. In fact it exceeded my expectations by a lightyear or so. Not only did it make the mount "purr like a kitten", it also significantly reduced backlash. Doing visual astronomy, backlash is practically non-existing. Zero backlash is of course impossible, but it is reduced to a completely insignificant level.
Only, be aware that installing the upgrade is indeed a challenge and not exactly easy. Make sure to have all the recommended tools and follow the instructions to the letter. It may also be a good idea to take pictures for each step in the process of disasembling the mount.
Eventhough the instructions are fine, it is highly recommendable to watch some of the youtube videos that are made on this upgrade. They are especially usefull once you're going to reassemble the mount.
And most important - Once the upgrade is done, it's allmost like getting a new mount. Worth every euro and every hour of work.
