Neodymium Moon and Sky-glow filter with built-in IR blocker and PG-coating

• a selective contrast filter, particularly suitable for all reflecting telescopes

• blocks particular regions in the visible spectrum where street lamp lighting and sky-glow due to scattered light are particularly irritating

• selective blocking reduces glare, but without reducing the ability to see important colour and brightness differences

• light transmission in the selected spectral ranges is over 95 %

1. Fits in all standard filter threads; and can be combined, for example, with the plane-optical polished Baader IR cutting filter! So blur from unfocused infrared can be prevented - an absolute must for digital astrophotography

• plane-optical polished; can be used without any loss of sharpness as a single filter in front of a bino-viewer or for afocal projection with digital cameras (far away from the focal point!)

• stars appear much sharper when it is used with a DSLR camera due to the blocked IR range of the spectrum

• no drop in sharpness with magnifications above 200X, in contrast to flame polished filter glasses

• substrate (glass melt): neodymium doped coloured glass

• coating: 7-ply multi-layer hard coating / 'bullet-proof' dielectric IR blocking coating

• Hardened on both sides (ion beam hardened), absolutely scratch-resistant, water-resistant coating - can be cleaned as often as required
