N 250/1200 telescope - this Newtonian telescope has a large aperture for detailed deep sky observing, collecting almost three times as much light as a 114mm telescope. While only the cores of many galaxies can be seen in smaller telescopes, this telescope will also show spiral structure. Fascinating globular clusters can also be observed through this giant, some filling the entire field of view with numerous individually resolved stars.
The fast aperture ratio allows relatively short exposure times in astrophotography. The 10-inch optics still fits on the back seat of a car, so it is still useful to transport. Larger Newton optics are only useful for stationary observatories or as wire-mesh tubes.
Nothing stands in the way of your lifelong enjoyment of the night sky with a telescope of this size.
Mirror Cells: The best optics in the world can be literally ruined unless they are supported correctly in a telescope’s body. Badly designed mirror supports (cells) are more than capable of turning the image from a 1/10PV wavefront mirror into worse than a whole wavelength of inaccuracy. This telescopes comes with a computer optimised, anodised aluminium surface cell with built in cooling fan (12V DC).
It has a 9 point, nylon66 tipped suspension system which spreads the ‘load’ of the mirror as evenly as possible over those 9 points at the back of the mirror.
