Equatorial with GoTo

The CEM series from iOptron offers particularly innovative mounts.

CEM stands for centre-balanced equatorial mount, that is a mount which is supported at its centre of gravity thanks to its design. Thus, a lighter counterweight can be used and a very favourable ratio of mount weight to carrying capacity is achieved: a CEM with a relatively low own-weight can carry a comparatively heavy optic.

The largest models in the CEM series are very well suited to use in an observatory and are therefore supplied without a tripod. Of course, suitable tripods and columns are available for mobile or stationary use.
The CEM mounts share the usual excellent mechanics common to all iOptron mounts. This includes, in particular, their very quiet operation.
