When developing the new TSN-88 PROMINAR range, Kowa used their tried-and-tested optical design methods which made the company one of the best-loved spotting scope manufacturers in the world. Improving on a basic feature which PROMINAR users enjoy every time they look through their eyepiece - natural colour reproduction.

INCREASED TRANSMISSION
In the new TSN-88 PROMINAR spotting scope range, the Kowa engineers have not only improved the unique optical lens coating, but also improved the prisms. They have created a spotting scope which allows more light through than its predecessor, and this right across the entire colour spectrum. The result is nothing less that the best possible natural colour reproduction.

The new TSN-88 PROMINAR series is equipped with an 88mm pure fluorite crystal objective lens - a true optical powerhouse which lies at the heart of all PROMINAR flagship scopes. This unique lens sets a new benchmark for colour brilliance and eliminates chromatic aberration. This enables highly detailed views of the natural environment.
ROBUST, LIGHTWEIGHT & TRANSPORTABLE
The new TSN-88 PROMINAR’s casing consists entirely of magnesium alloy and is, therefore, not only more durable but also lighter than its predecessor.
A fully waterproof and nitrogen-filled casing as well as the Kowa KR-coating on the front lens, which repels dirt, moisture and dust from its surface, make the spotting scope reassuringly resiliant against external influences.
DUAL FOCUS - EXCEPTIONALLY PRECISE FOCUSING
The dual focus mechanism provides the best possible control when focusing.
The exceptionally finely tuned technology enables the focusing wheel to move smoothly.

STILL THE KING OF DIGISCOPING
The TSN-88 PROMINAR has retained its pole position in the world of digiscoping and offers photography enthusiasts the opportunity for telephotography with extremely large focal lengths which are not possible in traditional photography. Its improved coatings increase its digiscoping power even at large magnifications and allows you to take pictures which were previously only possible with high end DSLR systems. Kowa has an impressive selection of individual and universal smartphone adapters which can easily connect most smartphone models to the TSN-88 PROMINAR. DOUBLE TRIPOD BRACKET
A new dual tripod mounting system prevents the spotting scope sliding on the tripod feet or rotating, thus providing additional stability for long periods of use. A real benefit for comfortable observation in the field.
ALIGNMENT AID
The spotting scope has a new, removable alignment aid which can be attached to the accessory ring in order to quickly find your desired subject. The lens hood also has a newly designed in-built alignment aid as a further visual aid in the field.
