Airy refractors from PrimaLuceLab offer everything that demanding astrophotographers could wish for:
- Apochromatic FPL-53 triplet with air gap for a colour-pure and high-contrast image
- Hybrid drive focuser with large aperture and 1:11 reduction. The hybrid drive is mechanically superior to the Crayford focuser. It can permanently support heavy camera equipment without slipping. It can be fixed in position with a locking screw. The long focus travel allows for a wide range of adaptation options. With the optional flattener, you can attach a camera directly (T2 or M48). Of course, you can also use accessories with plug-in sleeves. For this purpose, the Apo is equipped with the OnAxisLock system.
- High mechanical stability: From the moment you hold your Airy-Apo in your hands, you will be impressed by its high quality. All parts are CNC-milled, and the dew shield is retractable. The tube clamps fit the PLUS system from PrimaLuceLab, and even the lens cap is made of aluminium.
Airy apochromats also look good during the day and are supplied in a matching transport case.
OnAxisLock is the accessories locking system that, compared to those using normal screw, offers a greater clamping force, avoiding any possible flexure (so it's perfect for astrophotography), it does not damage the connected accessory and it perfectly keeps the optical axis of the telescope.
All this thanks to a new locking device with double ring: just rotate manually the appropriate outer ring (designed to allow an easy grip, even with gloves) and you will get a perfect closure!
