Motic BA210

Motic BA210

The microscopes in the BA210 series are compact, powerful models for teaching in schools and universities. Equipped with Motic’s CCIS© infinity optics, they deliver excellent image quality and so allow effective learning in all biological and medical study programmes.

Key features

  • Optical System: infinity objective (CCIS®)
  • Eyepieces: N-WF10X/20mm
  • Objectives: EC Plan Achromatic
  • Condenser: focusable Abbe condenser with slider slot
  • Illumination: transmitted light LED 3W

FOR ROBUST HANDLING IN EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS
The Motic BA210 is designed especially with demanding educational applications in mind. The coated stage allows the safe and durable processing of different types of samples. The BA210 standard tubes have a 30° viewing angle for comfortable observing. The inter-pupillary distance can be adjusted between 55-75mm, depending on individual requirements. The photo tube with a 20/80 beam splitter allows the integration of different digital camera systems and thus the presentation of microscopic images to a larger audience.

Objectives

Objectives

EC PLAN OBJECTIVES FOR RELIABLE RESULTS
All EC Plan Achromatics, from 4X to 100X, deliver improved contrast for both the human eye and the photo output digital sensors. Especially for phase contrast, the optional objectives offer (with positive & negative phase contrast!) great variability for many different applications. The N-WF eyepieces start with the standard 10X/20mm field of view, and allow dioptre adjustment (+/-5 dpt) for both eyes, thereby allowing the accurate use of reticles.

LED illumination

LED illumination

The BA210 delivers proven 3W LED illumination in a fixed-Köhler setup. The importance of LEDs as a reliable and long-lasting light source has increased significantly, especially in education, where extended service life and reduced heat generation compared to halogen light sources are becoming increasingly important. An optional illumination mirror can be attached for use in the field without a power supply. A high-quality condenser with NA 1.25 and iris diaphragm for the visualisation of weakly- or non-stained samples is included in the package.

Contrast techniques

ALIGNED WITH MOTIC'S UPRIGHT MICROSCOPES
The BA210 is perfectly embedded in Motic's upright microscopes concept for the use of optional accessories. An upgrade is easy to carry out; to phase contrast (both positive and negative versions) with a phase slider, simple dark field, as well as polarisation for the detection of birefringent structures. The BA210 exceeds the limits of a basic transmitted light microscope, allowing the use of additional contrast techniques for training on a limited budget.
