The AZ DDS (Direct Drive System) mount is a new generation of professional robotic mounts with azimuth fork and integrated software control for focuser/derotator. It was created specifically for research purposes and professional applications in astronomy and satellite tracking to meet the highest quality demands.
The AZ DDS mounts combine the most advanced technologies available in mechanics, electrics, electronics, software and design: every single function and component has been checked to the highest standards to achieve the highest level of efficiency that has always been typical of 10Micron products. In addition, 10Micron has incorporated many new features that enhance the safety of the instrument and the observer.
The scope of delivery includes the power supply and the professional 4-line stand-alone hand control:
- Stand-alone hand control box – no PC required, offers all functions for operation
- Robust keypad with metal housing and reliable, professional micro switches
- Large graphic display with up to four lines of text and additional status indicators; heated for low-temperature operation, display and keyboard backlighting dimmable
