This prism clamp for Vixen, Syntha and Celestron mounting rails is screwed securely to the movable plate of the Leonardo Binomount using the four hexagon socket screws supplied. This means that you can not only use telescopes with standard prism rails on the Leonardo, but also attach large binoculars without any problems if you equip them with a prism rail.
Then you no longer have to search in the dark for the small threaded screw of the standard tripod adapter, but can use the same clamp as for large telescopes.
An additional prism rail is particularly useful for inexpensive large binoculars where the tripod connection is not close to the centre of gravity.
