The induction charger is a practical accessory for the dome shutter drive.
The drive has an internal lithium-ion battery, which is normally charged via a solar charger on the outside of the observatory. The new induction charger is not only more efficient, but is also mounted inside the dome on the rotation drive housing. The charging and battery details are easily accessible via the rotation drive control unit, allowing you to monitor the status of your shutter battery.
With this induction charger, you only need one power supply for the drive to rotate the dome. The drive for the slit is then powered by this charger.
