The MK3 from Pierre-Astro is a very high-quality ADC (Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector) for visual and photographic use.
ADC: For sharp planetary photos, even on the horizon
Every observer knows this: Saturn appears close to the horizon. If you observe it with a telescope, all you see is a blurry disc. A smudge in the sky. Taking photos of planets is not worth it because the light is refracted by the dense and thick layers of the atmosphere. Colour fringes appear! We would have to wait hours for the planet to rise higher. But the position of the planetary orbit does not always allow this.
The advantages at a glance:
- Corrects atmospheric dispersion: fewer colour fringes, sharper planetary photos and more detail.
- 2.5° adjustment range: two prisms that can be shifted against each other
- Ultra-flat: also suitable for visual observation and binoculars
- 1.25" sleeve with filter thread on the telescope side
