Leofoto MP-200S Macro Focusing Rail with Rotating Arca-Type QR System
The Leofoto MP-200S is the successor to the MP-180S and offers an extended 200 mm travel distance for precise macro, reproduction and product photography. The focusing rail allows controlled forward and backward camera movement without repositioning the tripod, making it easier to fine-tune subject distance, framing and the focus plane.
The precision lead screw mechanism provides accurate and repeatable adjustment: one full crank rotation moves the rail by 1.25 mm. This makes even very small corrections easy to control, which is especially useful for macro work and focus stacking. The fold-flat crank handle keeps the rail compact for transport and storage.
A key feature of the MP-200S is its rotating Arca-type quick-release system. The camera platform can be locked in 90° increments, allowing fast changes between front-to-back movement and lateral adjustment. Numbered scales along the rail help with repeatable positioning during image series or focus stacking workflows.
The Arca-type dovetail base allows direct mounting on compatible tripod heads, clamps and quick-release systems. For tabletop use, the MP-200S can also be used with its detachable rubber-tipped feet. With an 8 kg load capacity, it is suitable for more demanding camera setups as well.
