Skywatcher Skytee 2 - A heavy azimuth mount for nature observation
Simply take your telescope with you on holiday or use it spontaneously for nature observation or a short trip through the starry sky. A parallactic mount can sometimes be annoying. The Skytee 2 is the perfect addition and, above all, so easy to use.
The Skywatcher Skytee-2 is a stable azimuth mount on which you can attach two telescope tubes at the same time. This heavy-duty mount can carry up to 15 kg of telescope weight. Skywatcher makes it easy for the observer: on both sides there is a Vixen/Skywatcher dovetail mount with a side clamp. The prism rail of your telescope will not be damaged and the tube will sit securely. An additional counterweight bar allows you to attach Skywatcher counterweights. This makes it very easy to balance the mount when using telescopes of different weights.
The fine movements in altitude and azimuth allow the telescope to be adjusted very sensitively. Move and observe even at high magnifications; this solid mount is like a rock in the surf.
You can place the Skytee 2 on a stable EQ-5 or HEQ-5 tripod to achieve a solid base.
The Skytee 2 is particularly well suited for these areas of application:
- If you simply want to be ready to observe quickly and immediately
- For travel purposes when a parallactic mount is not necessary
- For nature observation and digiscoping
The advantages at a glance:
- Solid azimuth mount
- Two Vixen fast couplings
- For one or two telescope tubes weighing up to 15 kg each
- Fine movements in both axes
- Counterweight bar for balancing
- Fits on an existing EQ-5 or HEQ-5 tripod
