The LPS-D1 is designed exclusively for Canon EOS full-frame sensors.
The annoying light from sodium vapour street lamps is relatively easy to filter out. Unfortunately, this does not apply to white LED lights, which are becoming increasingly common. The problem of light pollution is becoming more complex. The IDAS LPS-D1 filter is a response to this new threat. The filter suppresses the bright blue component of these lights and eliminates the warmer part of their emission curve from approximately 555 nm to 640 nm.
The filter is designed for use with Canon EOS full-frame DSLR cameras. The transmission has been chosen to preserve the colour balance of the images as much as possible.
