Our expert comment:
What's the best way to take successful astro-photos?
You can find out in our article Your first astronomy photo in 7 easy steps using the MiniTrack.
To adjust the polar finder you need a 1.5mm Hex key, for example the Omegon 1.5mm Hex key.
The polar axis of the Mini Track is perpendicular to the dovetail bar. However, on polar wedges the polar height scale is parallel to the dovetail bar. Therefore, set the polar wedge to 90° minus your latitude. Example: Landsberg am Lech has latitude 48°. The polar wedge is therefore set to 90° - 48° = 42°. Of course, the calculation also applies to the setting range of your polar wedges. Please note this especially when travelling to areas close to the equator.
