A cooled CCD camera with 3032x2016 pixels and an almost 30mm diagonal would have been an unaffordable dream just a few years ago. Orion cameras now bring that dream within reach. With a delta T of more than 30 degrees thanks to Peltier cooling, noise is significantly reduced. The improvement in quality compared to the DSLR cameras widely-used is immediately noticeable. The camera has significantly less noise and far greater sensitivity. Maxim DL Essentials imaging software is included. The camera has an unscrewable 2-inch connector with T2 thread at the front.
