Aneroid barometer for measuring absolute atmospheric air pressure.
Precision measuring mechanism with 5-fold aneroid dosing set made of copper-beryllium alloy, self-stable.
- Measuring range 890 to 1050 hPa
- Measuring accuracy ± 0.7 hPa
- Scale division 0.5 hPa.
The aneroid cells are virtually free of ageing, hysteresis and elastic after-effect. The influence of temperature on the cell set and the transmission system is compensated by a bimetal across the entire measuring range and in a temperature range from -30 to +40 °C. The cell stroke is transmitted to the pointer axis by means of a drive and segment with extremely fine toothing. All bearings are finely polished. Thanks to the advantageous design of the linkage and bearings, the instruments exhibit only minimal static friction.
Inspired by Marine chronometers, which are part of the mandatory inventory on a ship's bridge, Fischer created a limited "Black Edition" of the precision aneroid barometer in 2024, which has a particularly elegant appearance with its black lacquered solid wood case. The instrument's dial is also black, while the bezel is made of brushed stainless steel. The double-edged index pointer in the cover glass enables parallax-free reading of the measured value.
The "Black Edition" is strictly limited to only 24 pieces, with the serial number noted on the type plate. The precision aneroid barometer is manufactured in the Fischer workshops in the Ore Mountains.
