EQMOD is the name of an open-source software programme that allows you to control your mount from a PC. There are various solutions available for connecting the PC to the mount. The ‘EQDIR’ component in the names of many adaptors and interfaces means that a direct connection is established between the PC and the mount, meaning the handcontroller is no longer required. Such a connection can even be made wirelessly.
