Product description

TeleVue star diagonals are of high-quality workmanship and are a valuable addition to any astronomer's kit. One should never stint on accessories - even the finest telescope can give poor results when used with a low quality prism.

TeleVue offers a variety of mirror and Amici prism star diagonals designed to avoid causing any optical 'bottleneck' in the overall optical system. You still get the quality of telescope optics, from the objective lens to the eyepiece - without any noticeable loss.

The 2" Enhanced Aluminum mirror coating provides a 96% reflective surface across all but the extreme ends of the visual spectrum. The enhanced coating provides extra reflectance versus competing standard aluminum coatings. The final coating stage applies a tough overcoat to protect the aluminum. All diagonals feature brass clamp rings and filter threads. The Enhanced Aluminum diagonals are good budget alternatives, especially where a prism diagonal might otherwise be considered.
