Product description

The coma is an aberration which causes the diffraction pattern of stars that are located at the edge of the field, a comet-like tail (coma) show. So the stars appear not one point but elongated distorted. The Coma Corrector compensates for this error.

This coma corrector is ideal for Newtonians. It is simply "used -Okularauszug. At the other end of a camera can be adapted. With an additional filter thread can 2" in the 2 filters for astrophotography are screwed. The focal length of the telescope is not changed by the corrector.

Thus, the coma corrector is working properly, the correct distance between the camera sensor and the screwed-corrector must be adhered to:

  • With a focal length up to 800mm should the distance from the sensor and the threaded base of the corrector 53,5mm respectively.
  • With a focal length of about 1000mm, the distance should be 55mm.

Under the heading "intermediate ring" can be found in our shop suitable rings to extend the way.

When using an SLR, the required distance is quite well achieved by the T2-Ring, the one required for the connection of the corrector to the camera (see the figure on the right).
