The focuser is attached to every telescope near the focal point of the light-gathering optics. As the name suggests, eyepieces can be inserted into the focuser. For astrophotography, focusers hold cameras and bring them into focus. This is why they are also referred to as focusers instead of eyepiece focusers.
The focuser is designed for DIY projects and for upgrading Newtonian telescopes. It can hold accessories weighing up to 6 kg and, thanks to the combination of roller bearings and a rack and pinion drive, allows for smooth adjustment without tilting, even at maximum load. The base on the adjustment side is flat and equipped with two M4 internal threads, allowing a motor focus such as the EAF from ZWO to be mounted without an auxiliary adapter.
The focuser is supplied with a 2" and a 1.25" clamping sleeve. An M56x0.75 external thread is available for screw adaptations. This thread is located both on the 2" plug-in sleeve and directly on the focuser tube, so you can unscrew the plug-in sleeve.
The telescope is connected via a 78 mm diameter ring swan neck, matching the bases that you will find in the "Recommended accessories" section.
