Even when it rains, a clear starry sky stretches out above your head. With a span of over 1 metre, the umbrella is a large star chart – yet compact enough to fit in a bag. Dates and times are marked on the edges of the ten segments. This means you can always see which constellations are where in the sky.
All constellations visible in Central Europe are depicted. The white stars and lettering glow in the dark and look particularly impressive under UV light. The sturdy frame withstands not only rain but also wind.
Pressing the button once opens the umbrella; pressing it again closes it. The shaft is then pushed back together, and the automatic mechanism is ready to go again. A small marvel of umbrella technology – and extremely practical, for example when getting into a car.
In case the umbrella ever goes missing, there is a small space to write your phone number. That way, it will (hopefully) find its way back to you.
