Product description

This finder scope is ideal as a guiding scope.

If you connect an auoguiding camera, you can automatically correct the tracking of the mount if the telescope focal lengths are not too high. The manufacturer recommends focal lengths up to a maximum of 1500 millimetres.

Thanks to the helical focuser (worm wheel), focussing the camera is very easy, provided that focussing does not cause the camera to rotate. The fast optics ensure a bright image over a large field of view. This makes it very easy to find a suitable guide star for guiding. The Deluxe Mini AC 50/162 can be mounted on the telescope as easily as a finder and, with its low weight, hardly burdens the mount. Like a finder, the Mini Deluxe AC 50/162 can also be adjusted to the desired sky section: Via three screws on the guide scope rings.

With the Deluxe Mini AC 50/162 you get solid optics for your money: double lens with air gap (Fraunhofer design) made of crown/flint glass, fully coated of course!

Of course, you can also simply use the Deluxe Mini AC 50/162 as an optical finder if you don't want to do astrophotography. A illuminated reticle eyepieces with a focal length of 20 millimetres transforms the Mini Deluxe into an 8x50 finder.

Attaching to an Explore Scientific ED80 APO

Hi,
This is a good guidescope for smaller/lighter setups.
Yet, in case you buy this item to attach to an Explore Scientific ED80 (or some Meades), the shoe won't fit the finder rail.

You can 3D print an adapter here:

It works great!
