Experience your blue miracle: Well into the 20th century, so-called iron blue printing was still used for copying, for example, plans. The process was originally developed by John Herschel, an English scientist and astronomer, back in 1842. Since then, cyanotype has been a popular method of photography using sunlight.
How it works: After brief exposure to the sun, objects placed on the film leave their outlines, like a silhouette. Only tap water is needed for development and fixing; a darkroom is not required.
Shelf life:
- Use within 30 days after opening the black light-protective packaging.
- Unopened, can be stored for approx. 2 years.
