Normally you don't need this heater for the glass dome of the All Sky Camera from Moonglow. The camera generates enough heat to melt snowflakes or dissolve icing, for example. However, if you operate your camera in a particularly cold or particularly damp environment, it may make sense to purchase this additional heater.
A power supply with a US standard plug is included in the scope of delivery. However, the heater can also be connected to the camera's internal power supply (12V DC, 0.8A). The controls allow the heater to be run at low power to prevent dew or at high power (7W) to melt ice.
