Patented gauge for the ideal alignment of focuser rings in Newtonian telescopes.
Available in various sizes:
- 6–8" relative to the telescope aperture. For crosshairs up to approx. 1 mm thick. Outer diameter 145 mm
- 10" relative to the telescope aperture. For crosshairs up to approx. 1.2 mm thick. Outer diameter 180 mm
- 12" relative to the telescope aperture. For spider rings up to approx. 2 mm thick. Outer diameter 190 mm
Simply place the noctutec Spider Mate on top of the telescope’s spider. The openings in the gauge make it very easy to assess the alignment of the spider. You can see at a glance whether the spider needs adjusting or whether it may be bent.
The Spider Mate is the tool every astrophotographer needs who values cleanly imaged spikes on stars.
