The Dobson telescopes from Orion UK can be easily balanced, as the height wheels are large and therefore very forgiving of imbalance. In addition, the instruments can be moved in the holder to bring them into the optimum position.
With this friction brake, Orion UK offers an additional adjustment of the resistance. This means that even when using heavy accessories, there are practically no vibrations of the telescope - it sits stably in the height wheels and can be moved/fixed evenly.
Pleasenote: If you would like to add this optional friction brake, please order it directly when purchasing the Orion UK Dobson Rockerbox (item no. 66806). Retrofitting is not possible!
