With this set, you can remotely control the main mirror focus of the Celestron RASA 11" /HYPERSTAR. The temperature sensor built into the motor housing compensates for focus position changes due to temperature fluctuations. Communication with the controls is possible via Ethernet, RS232 or USB and ASCOM using the software. Alternatively, a WiFi antenna can be purchased. This means that the controls can also be operated via apps on your Smartphone. Retrofitting is highly recommended, as the focusing is much more sensitive, touch- and vibration-free, and the temperature compensation is useful.
The RASA motor unit can also be used on all Celestron SC telescopes if they have been retrofitted with a 1:10 focus reduction from Feathertouch.
The set consists of:
FT20 motor unit: suitable for the Feather Touch 1:10 focuser for C8, C9.25, C11 and C14 as well as for the Celestron RASA 11" /HYPERSTAR Astrographs. The temperature sensors for the FocusLynx FT for correcting the focus drift of the telescope are integrated into the motor housings. However, external temperature sensors are also available as an option and can be connected additionally.
Optec control unit (required for operation) consists of: 12V power supply, USB/RS232 converter with cable (approx. 1.8m) and software CD. The scope of delivery only allows control via a PC/laptop/desktop with ASCOM installed.
