Filter for solar photography with the ZWO Seestar S50
The proven Baader solar filter foil offers optimum protection for the eye and the sensor. The "Made in Germany" mount holds the filter foil securely in place and establishes a fixed connection to the telescope or telephoto lens. The Baader filter foil is more robust and safer than a glass filter. It is coated on both sides, which eliminates the risk of small micro-holes.
The 3D-printed frame
The frame is 3D printed. A solid and, above all, UV-resistant PETG is used so that the frame does not become brittle even after years of use. The frame is optimally adjusted, guaranteeing a secure hold. Thanks to its simple design with an internal clamping ring, replacement is no problem.
The filter is simply inserted into the free opening – a secure hold is guaranteed.
It offers a significant increase in contrast compared to the conventional filter included in the scope of delivery!
The material is 3D-printed PETG, which is durable thanks to its UV resistance and dimensional stability (up to 80 °C).
