With the Vortex RT-45 Offset Mount, you can mount a RedDot sight on a Picatinny rail on the side of your weapon or spotting scope (provided it has a Picatinny rail).
When mounted on a weapon, the Vortex RT-45 Offset Mount, combined with a RedDot sight, allows shooting at very short distances, which would be difficult with normal riflescopes.
