Off-Axis-Guider 2"

This very short length off-axis guider is a real alternative to a guide-scope.

The advantages:

• accurate tracking, as no mechanical flexing or image shift are involved. The imaging camera and guide camera are always moved precisely in step.
• the entire system is considerably lighter and more compact than a separate guide-scope.
• brighter and higher-resolution guide star images with the guide camera as the main telescope is involved. This also means that tracking errors are easier to recognize and compensate for.
