The NB ball heads offer a large ball diameter manufactured to within 0.1mm accuracy. The large clamping knob for the ball clamp has an internal friction adjustment. This means that you can determine how loosely or tightly the ball is adjustable once you open the clamp. There are two plates - one on the ball head base plate and one directly below the camera - each rotate through 360°.
