Newly developed hybrid pillar stand for mounts from iOptron. The entire tripod is made of anodised aluminium, making it lightweight yet stable and robust enough to support even large iOptron mounts such as the GEM45 or CEM70.
With this pillar stand, you get the stability of a column and the convenience of a practical tripod. The advantages of this combination are obvious:
- foldable tripod legs
- Lowerable feet for levelling
- Total height of the column 1000 mm
- Flange for iOptron mount
- More space and freedom of movement, even for long OTAs
Our expert comment:
This stand column is best suited for the iOptron CEM40 and GEM45 mounts in combination with shorter refractors up to 130 mm aperture, Newtons up to 200/1000 or 8" SC/Cassegrain/RC telescopes. With an iOptron CEM60/CEM70, you should use more compact, lighter telescopes to completely avoid vibrations.
