There are five different versions of Maxim DL with different advantages (please note these before purchasing):
Maxim DL Basic: Webcams, DSI-style cameras, image processing
Maxim DSLR: Basic plus DSLR support, focuser control, telescope control, astrometry support, advanced image processing
Maxim DL Pro: All features including DSLR and CCD camera control, mini planetarium, AO, filter wheels, rotators, dome control, photometry support
Maxim DL Pro Suite: Same as Pro version but with special and sophisticated MaxPoint telescope control software.
Maxim DL IP: All image processing and analysis features, no device control, reads DSLR RAW files.
