The poster shows the outermost planet in the solar system with its moons and provides lots of interesting information about its rings, internal structure and exploration.
The deep blue gas planet Neptune is very similar to Uranus. The chemical composition of its atmosphere differs only slightly, but its blue colour is darker and more intense.
- Wind speeds on Neptune are the highest in the solar system, reaching up to 2000 km/h.
- The gas giant has at least 14 moons and 4 barely visible rings.
- Neptune can just about be seen from Earth with binoculars, but without a telescope it is no more than a tiny disc.
Neptune has only been visited once by a space probe: in 1989 by Voyager 2. Therefore, almost everything we know about this planet comes from that mission.
