Discovery Crafts DGL 50 is a binocular magnifying glass with foldable lenses: you can fold up just one or both lenses. This is handy if you want to look at an object with and without magnification. The magnifying glass has a short focal length and offers high magnification. It is therefore particularly suitable for precise work. This can include modelling, soldering, repairing mechanisms, evaluating surface defects, assessing jewellery, etc.
The interchangeable lenses are supplied in pairs – 4 sets of 2 lenses each. The optics are made of optical polymer glass with a high degree of transparency. It is a very durable material that is in no way inferior to standard glass in terms of quality; it even surpasses it in its resistance to damage. The lenses are attached to a spectacle frame; the arms can be replaced with a textile strap if required.
LEDs are located next to each lens. The lighting angle is adjustable, allowing for precise and convenient illumination of the work area. The lighting requires batteries.
