Author information: Hermann-Michael Hahn is a member of the Planetary Society and chairman of the Cologne Public Observatory. He has been working successfully for many years as a freelance science journalist specialising in astronomy and space flight. He has already published numerous books on this subject.
The graphic designer Gerhard Weiland specialises in astro topics. He created the drawings and star charts in the "Kosmos-Himmelsjahr" (Cosmos Sky Year) in "Was tut sich am Himmel" (What's happening in the sky) and the "Sternkarte für Einsteiger" (Star chart for beginners).
