The extremely sturdy azimuth mount from APM in a class of its own:
- Horizontal axis: 50 mm made of V2A stainless steel with a centre plain bearing and 50 mm axial needle bearings on both sides
- Vertical bearing diameter: 180 mm, running on Teflon. Upper and lower parts are braced with 45 mm axial needle bearings
- Axis on telescope side: diameter 60 mm made of AIMgS1
- Axle clamping: both axles can be locked with hand-tightening screws
Connection:
- Tripods & mounts: A mixed thread consisting of 3/8" and M10 is located on the underside
- Telescope: two M6 screws on each side (prism clamp optionally available)
