High-resolution video camera for astrophotography of the sun, moon and planets with 1080p/720p HDMI resolution
Scan the starry sky with this high-definition video camera and your telescope and broadcast your observations live over the Internet or to a larger audience. With the included 1.25" adapter, you can easily insert the camera into the focuser. The adapter sleeve is equipped with a filter thread. An IR blocking filter is already integrated into the camera.
The video camera works best for objects in the solar system such as the moon and planets. Thanks to its electronic shutter with exposure times ranging from 1/10000 second to eight seconds and a frame rate of 60FpS (frames per second), the Orion camera is very versatile.
The camera's precise HD sensor is controlled by a software package developed by Orion. The software runs on Mac and Windows. Standard resolution images can be viewed on a TV or on your Windows/Mac computer using the recording device included in the scope. Use the supplied HDMI converter and HDMI cable to view them on a TV or projector.
Please note: A standard resolution video capture device is included. For high-definition recording, a separate HD video capture device is required. You can find it under Recommended Accessories.
