In the HAE29, iOptron provides a compact, transportable dual mount with azimuthal or parallactic functionality and a load capacity of up to 13.5kg without counterweights and up to 18kg with counterweights (counterweights and tripod not included and available separately).
iOptron's well-known Go2Nova Technology also provides this mount with a database of 212,000 objects, ASCOM compatibility and, thanks to the integrated WiFi, tablet- or smartphone-based controls via SkySafari, Raspberry Pi or INDI. The dual Vixen/Losmandy saddle and sturdy construction make it compatible with different small to medium-sized telescopes.
iOptron’s iPolar is available for easy automatic polar alignment.
The in-built “Electronic Friction Brake” control mechanism instantly stops the mount moving if the power is accidentally interrupted. After the mount is switched on, it calibrates itself and determines its own position. Also comes with a power cable and a sturdy (but lightweight!) carry case. Tripod and column extension available separately. We recommend the use of the iOptron “40mm CF tripod” (product no. 77370).
SWG Hybrid: By using a strain wave gear (SWG) for the RA axis and a conventional worm gear for the DEC axis, this mount delivers tracking accuracy that rivals pure SWG mounts, but at a lower price!
