Losmandy mounts have long enjoyed an outstanding reputation. They are characterised by precise controls and great attention to detail.
This Losmandy mount not only has a classy finish, but its inner workings are also made of precision-machined aluminium and stainless steel components. Adjustable slip clutches on both axes make it easy to handle and navigate the sky. You don't have to search blindly for clamping levers at night – the mount stays where you want it.
The G11GT mount has the highest load capacity in this series. It has generously dimensioned worm gears in declination and right ascension. To ensure that it remains transportable, the declination axis can be separated from the right ascension axis. This means that the right ascension axis, weighing 20 kilograms, remains manageable. The 8-kilogram declination axis is easily mounted at the end, after the tripod and right ascension axis have been set up.
