This ultra-wide-angle eyepiece is a completely new eyepiece of the latest design, replacing the proven and highly acclaimed 90° eyepiece.
It allows you to view an enormous field of view at high magnifications. In addition to its unparalleled panoramic view, it offers exceptionally good eye relief and is suitable for eyeglass wearers.
The image is crisp and sharp right to the edge. This is achieved by the unique optical design, which brings features from advanced lens construction to the eyepiece area.
The UWA eyepiece is also available in a special version as a plug-in eyepiece for astronomical use.
The ultra-wide-angle anastigmatic eyepiece impresses with its stigmatic (stigma = point) image across the entire field of view. Even stars at the edge of the image are still visible as points and are incomparably sharp.
This feature and the highest transmission values are ensured by the use of special glass from leading glass manufacturers.
Compared to the previous model, distortion has been reduced without compromising the actual field of view. This means that the field of view remains clear during relaxed observation and is ideal for longer observation sessions.
This is further enhanced by the large pupil distance, which even allows observation with glasses by folding down the eyecups.
In addition, the rubber eyecup dampens the transmission of disturbing vibrations to the system.
