Massimo Riccardi, renowned optical designer from Italy, has designed a high-quality 3-element 0.75x reducer/flattener for APM LZOS apochromatic telescopes, which is also suitable for many apochromats from other manufacturers. The reducer reduces the focal length by a quarter and corrects the image field. Turn your telescope into a fast astrograph! The connection to the telescope and camera is made via an M82x1 thread. For precise adjustment when the reducer/flattener is tilted, we can also offer you an adjustment flange.
The back focus is adjusted depending on the telescope used. The total optical length of the reducer + back focus + focus shift is between 185 mm and 210 mm. For focusers with a clear passage of 90 mm, the reducer can also be recessed into the focuser using an adaptor. The correction is designed for full format and is also suitable for the widely used Kodak KAF 8300 sensor.
