As my first purchase into astronomy opticals, I initially was considering a budget Newtonian telescope. But the lack of mobility and the absence of good viewing conditions where I leave (urbanized Western Europe) made me go for these binoculars instead, as they can also be used for terrestrial viewing and easily go on trips. Haven't regretted it. The image quality is astounding, even in low light. Had a train of Starlink satellites crossing my field of view. Was afraid that the 10 times magnification would lead to unstable images when handheld, but that fear has proven to be baseless. Awesome. And the oculars can be wonderfully adjusted to fit glasses. They are also smaller than I expected. To be honest, I haven't shelved my Newtonian aspirations yet, but this is in any case more accessible.
